The Waldo

Kim Smiley

Just like you, no two Kim Smiley Amulet Necklaces are alike.

Suspended from 36” silk thread, this Amulet necklace is created with a lace canvas within a bronze pendant. Against our signature metallic lace, we create a mini sculpture to attract light, warding off negatice energy at the same time.

Behind the glass, we place Swarovski elements of all shapes and sizes in brilliant, majestic hues.

Designer Kim Smiley teaches us to never be afraid of colour. Every colour under the sun is a holy reflection of the divine, created to be savoured. The more contrast, the more sanctified.

In a world where we are often barraged with negativity, our Amulet is not simply a necklace, it’s a portal for light, and it sits on your chest, inviting light in.

The Amulet by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Your picture smiles as first it smiled,
The ring you gave is still the same,
Your letter tells, O changing child,
No tidings since it came.

Give me an amulet
That keeps intelligence with you,
Red when you love, and rosier red,
And when you love not, pale and blue.

Alas, that neither bonds nor vows
Can certify possession;
Torments me still the fear that love
Died in its last expression.

Beauty For The Public Good

Kim Smiley isn’t simply creating jewellery. She’s a conduit to creating empathy. Each piece in her collection is conceived as a wearable work of art, handmade in Toronto, Canada by newcomers who earn a living wage. Kim calls it Beauty For The Public Good.
