The Neruda

Filigree earrings made from metallic lace with two faceted blue topaz teardrops, wrapped in gold and hand-sewn. Sterling silver stud and back.

Earrings hand varnished for more dramatic finish.

1" wide and 3.7" long. May be customized shorter or longer.

Inspired by Sonnet XVII by Pablo Neruda:

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
